"Love"ly Thoughts - Day 6 - He Showers us With His Love

"I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain." Psalms 143:6

I typically dislike rainy days. I'm really a sunshine and blue skies kind of girl. 
Rainy days have always depressed me and made me feel blue. I'm the one who's always looking for that tiny patch of blue sky that breaks up the clouds and reminds us that the sun is up there - somewhere.
 
But, consider this. The LOVE that God has for us is so like the rain. 

It can be: 
gentle and warm 
a steady downpour
relentless 
a refreshing shower
soaking us through

and sometimes, it leaves a scent behind that reminds us that there is always a fresh start. 
A new beginning. 
Another sunny day ahead. 

His LOVE rains down and washes away the past. 
It nourishes us and cleanses us and refreshes us. 

He showers us with His LOVE. 
He is our blue sky.
