Get Moving - It's Monday!

Philippians 3:12-14 The Message (MSG)
"I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back."

Off and running - that's a good way to start a Monday, don't you think?
It's exactly what I did this morning.
After a weekend of indulging a little too much in the treats (read: CHOCOLATE) I headed back into the gym for a few miles on the treadmill and a little free weight action.
Not a treat for me by any stretch of the imagination, but I sucked it up and did business.

It helped that I had my good friends (only in my imagination, but I DID have a meet and greet with them one time so that counts, right??) Third Day along for the ride on the treadmill.
No secret here that they are my all time favorite band and a little Third Day on a Monday morning was just the ticket to get me moving in the right direction AND setting my mind on the right path today.

So, I'll share one of my favorites from their new album that just challenges me every time. It gives a whole new meaning to the old hymn Victory in Jesus and it reminds me that our lives are one long race to reach the ultimate prize - completion in Christ Jesus.
In the meantime, we've got work to do here on Earth; work that's a whole lot easier when we keep our eyes on the prize.

If this song is a little 'edgier' than is your normal taste - listen anyway - the message is AWESOME! And I promise, I love all kinds of music - your style will show up here sooner or later!
Got a favorite? Leave me a comment and I'll check it out.

Now, time to get moving.......

With a courageous heart,
 ~~Robin
